Pledge to Give

Our work to move families from experiencing housing insecurity to financial stability is an investment in the future of Memphis. Annually, we provide transitional housing and supportive services to 25 families (over 75 parents and children). During this five-year campaign, our goal is to serve at least 125 families (375 parents and children).

When you pledge over multiple years of the campaign, you can help guarantee the Dorothy Day House continues to provide transformative family services to help over 60% of our families leave the Dorothy Day House with transportation, a job, and an apartment.

The 2016-2021 Campaign for the Dorothy Day House raised  $5.25 million and has:  

• expanded our facilities from one home to three, each with the capacity to provide three families with private bedrooms, and access to a common bathroom, kitchen, dining room, and living room; 

• increased the number of families we serve annually by 316%; 

• quadrupled our personnel, vital for operating the three homes and assisting more families; and 

• paid for all operations during the five-year period.
