In-Kind Donations
Our three transitional houses are home to 9 families at a time. During their stay at the Dorothy Day House, and even after moving out, families have access to free hygiene items, cleaning supplies, bedding, clothing, food, and more. Upon move-out, we give families household items and furniture for their new house. All items are provided by supporters like yourself and are essential to our operation.

Wishlist Wednesday
Every Wednesday, we update our Amazon wish list with our highest-need items and then publish it on social media. However, you can access and shop this wish list any day of the week! Click the link below to shop for our most needed items and easily ship them right to our door. If you would prefer to shop at a local retailer and drop off the items, contact Sophia Rall.
Dorothy Day House Family Moves
The Dorothy Day House accepts new and gently used furniture, housewares, and small appliances to support families transitioning out of DDH. Your donations help equip families with the essentials they need as they move toward independence. To view a list of acceptable items, please click the button below. Once reviewed, you can schedule a delivery drop-off at our Midtown storage facility. Please note that DDH does not have access to a large moving vehicle.
Shop & Giveback: Kroger Community Rewards!
Simply register your Kroger Plus Card on Kroger’s website, and select the Dorothy Day House as the beneficiary. We’ll then receive a portion of each purchase you make at Kroger. This includes groceries, fuel, prescriptions, etc. It costs you nothing to participate, but Kroger supports us through each purchase you make.
